To download and run Cachemate from the market? Trust me, clearing Dalvik every couple of weeks is a VERY good idea for the performance of your Droid X.

okay once i get cache mate (downloading now) what do i do to get to the dalvik cache? Will i lose all my columns in Tweetdeck? I don't want to lose all of my settings on my phone by clearing out the cache

No, you'll just have a slow reboot while cache is rebuilt and a faster phone for a while.

Stability should also increase. At the very least you've done some needed maintenance on your phone.

    That's rotten.

Sometimes an uninstall/reinstall will fix problems like that, but I think you might do well to notify the developer of the problem. There might be an update in the works/known fix.

To clear the Davlik, there are 2 options. One is through Titanium Backup, hit the home button and then more, the popup will give you the option of clearing the Davlik. Option number 2 is through Clockwork, scroll down to advanced select it and the next menu will give you the option to clear the Davlik.
