Phone makes phone calls but doesn't let voices through (Does this happen to others?)

Hey All,

I have a Droid X that's rooted running Froyo. It's not a bad phone except for the the fact that randomly I'll either get a phone call or make a phone call and the phone will connect but it won't let any audio through? Has this happened to anyone else?

It sometimes happens when I install a new app and sometimes for no reason what-so-ever.

Does anyone have any clue what's going on? Please please please enlighten me.

Update: It also works again once I restart my phone. But sometimes it takes multiple restarts to work.

I'm on my 3rd phone because my in-call speaker wouldn't work. I wouldn't be able to hear anything but the person I'm calling can hear me. Also running Froyo

Mine is intermittent and is clearly a software conflict of some sort. Any one have any ideas on what I can do?

If you're running a rom it could be the culprit.

You said that your phone is rooted. Then how are you not running a rom.

If you're stock then I would call VZW and get a replacement if its happening on a regular basis

I'm stock but I'm rooted, because I have free tethering and other apps for customization that require root.

So I don't think VZW would take it back
