Droid X leaked 2.3.4 Gingerbread? Is it out there?

    Hey guys.

I have a Droid X rooted with 2.3.3 Gingerbread. I'd like to get the latest. I downloaded the leaked version of 2.3.3 but I'm experiencing some bugs with it and am wondering if 2.3.4 would fix it. I wish I waited for the OTA but I didn't.

Anyone know where I can get update zip? Please let me know.

No. Any leak is device-specific. Your best bet is to find a gingerbread-based ROM for your phone. In many ways it may even be superior.

Other than staying away from Ultimate Droid, no matter the device, I can only offer the following advice:

Read up on the twitches and glitches each ROM may have before attempting to flash it. Reason being the most common complaint I've seen about the DX is flashing a ROM and forgetting to do something before flashing something else on, soft-bricking it, and needing to SBF back to stock (sometimes repeatedly) before being able to do anything.

What is SBF? So you don't think I can just find vanilla Gingerbread 2.3.4 anywhere?

Best way to think of the SBF files is as the Saving my Butt File. It's the stock image for the phone. You flash it into the memory with a program called RSD Lite -- in your case you want 4.8 or 4.9 -- if you're on Windows, and SBF_Flash if you have Linux. And before you start thinking of ROMing your phone you need to get familiar with the files, where to get them, and how to apply them. I can't dig up the link right now, but I think there's one here in the DX section. Maderschram's Complete Guide to Flashing Your DX or something like that.

No there isn't a vanilla gb for Droid x. There are only 2 ROMs for the latest gb build. Apex and liberty
