    This is my second issue with this phone. My first phone would freeze randomly, 4 times in the first 24 hours. Took the phone in and had it replaced. Now I am having the same issue described here...
    1. No one can hear me and I cannot hear them.
    2. I cannot even hear ringing or busy tones when I dial a number

    Turning the phone off and then turning it back on fixes the issue.

    It seems like taking the phone back is a fruitless idea....i just hope they come out with a fix for this...

    I have had this phone for 4 days and experienced the same thing. I was listening to music and received a phone call. I could not hear the person or they hear me. I hung up and tried redialing and again no audio could be heard. I had to powercycle my phone in order to restore service. This is already happened 5 times. I'm not happy and will be taking the phone back to the Sprint store.

    The more people that contact them the more real the issue becomes. (live chat is as easy as it gets...)
    It seems to be in their best interest to fix a 'possible software issue' rather than abide by their 1 year warranty and replace thousands of 'faulty phones' once a new and better working model comes along?

    To make matters worse every time I do have to reset the phone because of the sound issue I lose an app and then I have to figure out which 1 I lost.....sigh.

    Am I having this problem with my phone also, I have already exchanged it twice. Anyone had any luck with anything other than an exchange?

    If you mean has there been a software update the answer is no. Such an update would require weeks to code, test, approve, and push -- if not months. You'll want to contact Motorola directly rather than taking it back to the store because that will start the ball rolling faster at the OEM level.

    Same here. Just bought 2 photons on 8/20. On 8/22 the wife could not hear the person who called or hear the person she called. Today, my photon did the same thing. I tried calling several times and the other person also called me several times. I had to pull the battery to fix the issue. Sounds like it's just a temp fix and I'll be expecting this issue again soon. It's too bad because I just switched from BB, and I'm extremely happy with the Photon. It does everything so fast! Too bad it's not good at phone calls.
