    Can't Make Calls

    Hey I just got the photon from sprint. Havent had android for a while now and missed it. Though for some reason and I cant figure out why, but after my phone has been on for abour an hour or so when ever I get or make a call I can not hear the other party and they can not hear me. My phone will still ring and everthing when someone calls but if I answer it I get nothing and if I make a call out I am un able to hear anything. If i pull the battery and reboot it the phone will work fine for about an hour. Ive tried it with 4G off and on and that doesnt seem to matter. I have done a hard reset and that didnt help at all. I haven't downloaded any apps at all. I love the phone and I hope I dont have to exchange it. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

    I'd exchange it. If you've had it less than 14 days you should be able to get it swapped out for a new one in the store -- unless you rooted it.

    Same Problem

    Hi, it seems like I am having the same issues you are. Actually my brother and I got the same phones, and he too is having this problem. They were both ordered from the Sprint Tele-Sales Department and received at the same time. Anyone have this issue on a different Android phone? Anyone have any suggestions?

    Then take it into a Sprint store. Even if you didn't purchase from the store.

    +2 on the Phone Return, Sprint is pretty good about swapping out like phones...I exchanged 3 Heros before getting one that worked proper.

    also - i have experienced the "make-call-and-it-goes-through-but-there's-no-activity-on-the-other-end" problem a few times. I realized that when the phone is updating or downloading something is when this happens. As a solution, i let the update/download finish then shut down and power up the phone, and all is back to normal.

    Started happening to me last week on my EVO 4G. So far (knock on wood) it hasn't happened on the Photon.

    I spoke with sprint and after talking to a few representatives (who were all very understanding), they finally found someone who was able to approve them shipping out new phones with return kits for the ones I have now. Let's hope the new ones are better (fingers crossed).

    Ok, glad their sending more by mail. Just wondering why you didn't go to a Sprint store? You wouldn't have had to wait.

    Honestly, I don't have time to go into the store and give my phone in for an hour diagnostic and then for them to tell me that they will give me a new one. For me, it was just easier this way.
