New phone, cracked screen
Every phone I've owned I've dropped in excess of 20 times, and that includes the samsung intercept. I just upgraded to the Motorola Triumph and fell in love with it. One problem though, I dropped it once, just once and the screen cracked. I read that the Triumph has Gorilla glass, but it wasn't the outer glass that cracked, it was one under the top glass and has interfered with the touchscreen. I can barely use it now. I have insurance and can get a new one for a hundred dollar deductible. I can't have this happen again, and I'm a phone dropper, is there a way to keep this from happening without switching phones? I've found a lot of protective screens, but they all just say scratch proof, I don't know if any of them help with the inner screen from cracking. I looked into the otterbox covers, they look great, but have yet to develop one for the triumph. So, any suggestions?

Quit dropping your phone. I do too, so I got a rubber for mine. The two times I dropped it I was lucky and it didn't land on the screen so it just bounced. I don't think they make bullet-proof screens. Just keep your insurance up!

Otterbox is reputed to be excellent for gripability and shock-absorption. I'd consider buying one of their cases.

I really want one, but they don't currently make one for the triumph.

In that case I'd suggest a silicone skin. Greatly increases the gripability and shouldn't cost much so you can afford the Otterbox when it finally gets released.

That's what I meant by a rubber.

I picked up an Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case. Great grip. Amzer® Silicone Skin Jelly Case - Grey For Motorola TRIUMPH

. Thank-you. I just didn't want people thinking I was being cutesy or gross when I suggested a "rubber". I didn't know what it was called. Thank-you for clarifying that!:-)

It's not gross....you should always use a rubber to avoid having undesirable things happen.....
Sent from my HTC Inspire on the Straight Talk network from Walmart.....
