What's the difference between 2800 and this one other than the capacity? Is it physically larger?

    Seidio 3200 mAh battery N1

I received my N1 Seidio 3200 mAh battery today. It's charging overnight for the minimum 8 hours recommended. It's a thick battery (over twice as thick as the original), but the replacement back case covers it well and gives the phone a much better handle for those of you with big hands and has the velvet feel similar to the original. The instruction card states the performance will increase after 5-6 full charges.

I'll be giving it a thorough workout within the next few days and report back on how it survives including forced 3G, active GPS, Live Wallpaper, and max screen backlighting which all seem to be huge battery drains.

Thanks for taking the plunge and please keep us updated. Would there be a case that would fit to come out from Seidio?

Its possible, just depends on the demand for these batteries. If there isnt going to be much demand, Sedio likely isnt going to invest the money in developing a case if only 1% of N1 users get this battery

    3200 mAh battery usage update

    Hi all,

Here's the update for the 3200 mAh battery. The phone has been on straight since 6am this morning. Here's the breakdown of activity total times today.

    Flycast 2 hrs.
    Facebook 2 hrs.
    MixZing Lite 2 hrs.
    YouTube 1 hr.
    Seesmic 1+ hr.
    Carhome GPS navigation 60 minutes
    browser surfing 2 hrs.
constant text updates throughout the day
    asst games 1 hr.

    Phone settings:
Home++ Beta w/ no live wallpaper
    Forced 3G
Wifi setting is active (no sleep mode)
    GPS on when navigating
Screen brightness (low setting most of the day until was outside and then medium brightness)
    Phone ringer on silent

The battery level is currently at 40% for approximately 13 hours of on time. Phone says 13:05 Up time in the status menu. This is just the first charge, additional charges will most likely achieve even better results.

In comparison, the standard battery has been at 15% or less at 5 to 7 hours with this same type of use.

This battery is well worth the investment. As I stated before, the new thicker back gives more to hold on to so using the phone is much easier.

    Hope this helps.

    Rob
