    Why an app vs browser for acct type tasks

    Stupid question.

    I see all these apps being mention for PayPal, specific bank accouts etc. I currently do all these things via a browser on my PC, and fully intended to use the mobile browser to do these tasks the same way on my N1.

    Why would you use an app when the browser is right there?

    An app can provide some value adds if the developer builds them in like:
    - local caching/storing of data as a backup or to speed the app up
    - some offline access in case your stuck without connection
    - more robust interface that takes advantage of the Android platform
