    any Good Mail app??

I have been using the Sense UI Mail app
and it always has an option to control the download size of the email (e.g. 5kb only)

Now I dont have Sense UI anymore and I am trying K9 Mail as recommended by many people
but I found out that it does not have options to control the download size
that means it downloads however big the email is and it will sure use up all my data.

Anyone has any recommendation of good Mail app?
I am in need of a good one. Please help.
    thanks.

You must be using an older version of K9 because the version I am using allows you to set the download limit from 1k up to 2mb. Version 2.909 downloaded from the source repository.

Downloads - k9mail - Project Hosting on Google Code

    strange
i am using the newest version and set under General Settings "Automatically download = 8kb"
but i just tried to send to myself a 900kb file and it downloaded them all without asking me.

would you have the same problem?
and how do you solve it?
    thanks.

as I was using 2909 i was actually running test on my phone and found out the auto download limit did NOT work
so i reported to them last night already.

let me try 2910 this time.
    thanks.

just tried 2910, to my disappointment
it still downloads the full email.

just downloaded and installed 2911 which they tried to fix the "download size" bug. but it still doesn't work for me. It still downloads everything.

Any other good mail app that i can get that limit the download size?

    Thanks.

I just checked for updates on the apps store and the 2.803 that is installed on my phone is listed as the most up to date. I'm really getting frustrated with not being able to limit the size of emails. Anyone know which is the oldest, stable version that has the size limitation option?

I am dying for a good option as well, with POP3 server.
everything worked well with my HTC mail back then.
now no more HTC Mail, it gets difficult.

Boy, talk about a massive business opportunity! Android adoption is going through the roof out there, tablets haven't even taken off yet, and there's not even one email client I would call solid! I even invested in touchdown, which is pretty pricey, but constantly have problems posting to mailing lists through an exchange server. I'm back to the default Gmail client in froyo, which has improved slightly, but don't companies realise RIM exists because of email? It seems almost an afterthought.
I tried K9, but couldn't get it to play nicely with exchange either. Gmail works, at least, but the actual client is so primitive.
Anybody want to make some money?
