    RemoteDroid

Anyone using this app? For those that don't know about it, it supposed to turn your phone into a wireless keyboard and mouse. I think Gmote is a similar app.

When I enter my IP address and push connect I get "Invalid IP address!". I can't figure out why it's not accepting my IP address.

Watch your spaces. I found when I was setting it up that SwiftKey inserted spaces between the periods.

Yeah, I noticed SwiftKey adding spaces after a couple of tries. I'm still having no luck connecting.

    Gmote works better.

I've been using Desktop Remote Free on my media PC.

Desktop Remote Free - Android app on AppBrain

I didn't like the other ones because they used Java. I've seen too many viruses come in through Java and I don't want Java installed on my media PC because of that. Plus less stuff installed is better since it's just used for my TV.

I finally got it working the other day. When I tried to connect it again I noticed that the last digit on my IP address had changed. So I typed the IP address with the new digit and it's now working. It works very smoothly and I like the multi touch. The only thing I don't like is that I have to open remotedroid on my mac every time I want to use it. I would prefer to use remotedroid without having to do that. I may try Gmote to see what that's like.
