    Angry Birds - intrusive ads

I generally don't mind the small ads placed in apps and when there's an option to buy an ad-free version, I sometimes do if I find the app worthy and use it often enough.

So Angry Birds has always had ads and recently they moved the ads to upper right of the screen and they are displayed a lot longer. It's annoying but still not toooo bad. Then today I went to play and I looked away as the game was starting. When I look back there's a video of some dude in a hospital bed with a mask on - full screen. WTH?? I backed out and stopped the game wondering if I hit the wrong icon or something. When I started again there's another full screen ad.

This is definitely too much for me. I find that waaaay too intrusive and will either uninstall the game or find an ad blocker. I am generally against ad blockers WHEN THE ADS ARE REASONABLE. But I find this is overboard. I purposely haven't updated the game for a while because I read the ads are worse so I don't know how this happened.

Sorry, there's my rant for the day. Now, where can I find a good ad blocker? grumble...

I suppose.... but then it's not much of a smart phone, is it? No I think I'll stop playing. Leave the gaming to my trusty 'ol SNES with no ads, no CDs to scratch, no red rings of death... Ahhh the good 'ol days

Root your device. I never had any idea that angry birds had any advertising seeing as how I'm running an ad blocker.

I experienced this today for the first time and I`m not even running the updated version so this has been around since the start who knew.
