It must only be available in the U.S and A or supported markets because I can't get it in my market... So thats a link for others that are using the Nexus outside US/HK and singapore
I'm an American living in Singapore, and I've had Google Listen since the first day I got my phone back in January. So it's definitely available on the Market here.

Swype is only beta for now:

Download Swype for Android Beta | Android Central

I used it for a bit. While it's fun and innovative, the novelty quickly wore off, and I switched back to the regular keyboard.

Do a serch on the forums here. There is a whole thread about swype and how to install it. It's not specifically made for the N1 yet.

I bought "More Icons Widget" and love it. it allows you to shrink down your icons. The same company also has one to make your icons bigger as well.

I also got "Locale". It changes setting based on conditions. For instance, my home has wifi and my car has bluetooth connetivity: so I have it set that when I'm at home BT turns off and Wifi turns on, and when I leave my home wifi turns off and BT turns on. Also at home my lock pattern doesn't enable until 10 minutes of being idle, while away from home it's only 1 minute. At work, my ringtone changes, wifi/BT turn off. Between midnight and 6am the trackball does not consistently flash if I get an email (it's pretty damn bright). When plugged in screen brightness goes to %100 and screen timeout goes to never. It has a few bugs but it's pretty good.

Can anybody assist with some information in regard to the Handcent SMS app?
How do I set this app. to be the default sms app.
I now get two incomming messages and I have to open the text message in the standard sms app. and the Handcent.
Like Handcent but not if I cannot only work with this app.
    Some help would be apreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Open up the stock messanger app and go into setting and uncheck auto-retrieve and notifications.

-goto normal messaging app -> settings -> unchecked 'notifications'
-goto a contact and select to message them. A window should come up asking what app to use. Select handcent and set as default.
-if the option does not come up and it goes straight to the Messaging app, try looking at Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Handcent.

    Maybe one more.
I have one contact where the picture does not show in handcent.
The contact name is also not there, only phone number.
Can this be fixed again in any way?

Thanks for the recommendation. I wish it had the same animation when opening the app, but it does it's job nicely. After trying it for a few days I'll have to decide if I want to spend the $2 on it (it seems worth it). This addresses my complaint that though the Nexus has a nice big screen, the icons are just spaced further apart vertically and there's not additional widget/icon space.
