    Delete Facebook App?

I know it doesn't take up much space, but I don't have a Facebook app and wouldn't mind not seeing it in the menu. I tried to delete it but haven't figured out how yet. Any suggestions?

    Can't unless your rooted.

Native apps can only be removed after you Root.

hey guys, this question concerns me as well. my device is rooted so could someone tell me what should I do in order to get rid of it, and the twitter as well?

I really don't think its good enough. in fact it has even less functions than the mobile site does, and I don't like it taking space on my phone memory.

so would it work if I just delete the apk file from the phone memory using root explorer or maybe it would be smarter to use some console commands? if so then which? im a total noob in linux and android.

Use Titanium Backup, delete it, that's it.:D
You can delete all the system apps you want, it's not gonna free up any space that you can use.

Good question, I actually did this the other day, bear in mind if you download a new rom version of CM you will have twitter, browser, Facebook and other useless apps. But once you do it, it's very very easy .. even for me.. .

First you need Astro File Manager, so it can show you what exactly you have to get rid of. I am assuming you already have Terminal Emulator.

Next watch this Video it actually works the same for a Nexus

Good luck and good riddance of twitter app, I also got rid of Carhome, Music, stock mms and stock browser.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial. Though for some reason the command mount -o rw,remount /system didn't work on my emulator... anyway, this has shown me that I can actually delete these .apk files right from the apps folder using root explorer. it really does exactly the same but with graphical user interface

    Thanks again man, appreciate it!
And it did free space i can use.

Well I'm not sure because I didn't check out that tutorial but I believe for that command you need super user there for you need to input su in to the emulator first.
