    Passcode For Nexus One

Is there a passcode feature that can be turned on in Android?

I want to prevent my gf from being able to look into my phone if I leave it on the table for a few minutes. She's quite nosy! lol

There is the pattern lock feature. No password via characters that I know of. I am sure, however, that there is an app you might be able to get.

How do you do the pattern lock? I don't see that feature anywhere in the settings.

To be safe, I've even locked my SIM card (which doesn't have anything to do with locking your phone; it just prevents someone from making/receiving calls if it's locked). Be careful: I think your SIM card gets locked out after 3 (or 10?) failed attempts.

Any mobile phone will only ask you for your SIM lock pin code when you first boot up.

Very annoying while driving......Trying to unlock that pattern is a beeotch, especially with one hand.

Then create an easier pattern. My pattern requires only four points, relatively simple with just my right thumb, and still tricky enough that it's not easily guessable.

Of course, I don't encourage anyone using their phone while driving anyway.
