    As long as the .mp3 extension is on the files (and they play on the puter), they should transfer over to the N1 without issue, pending whatever music app you use can find them. I place my tunes in a 'music' folder in root of the sd, and I simply drag/drop when the N1 is connected to puter (no software transfer).

    Another thing to think of is that not all the songs will be created with the same volumne. They will need running through a normalizer as i found out wearing headphones, near had my eardrums blown out with ZZ top
