Movie Trailers for your Nexus One
First post on the Nexus Forums, but I'm actually quite active on the DroidForums
A few days ago I started a thread there with movie trailers for the Droid, and figured I might as well do the same for all the Nexus One users.
The trailers are all converted from Quicktime HD files (720p or 1080p) with DVD Catalyst 3 (3.84.1 to be exact) using the Google Nexus One HQ profile.
The mp4 files are streaming capable, so if you use the links on your Nexus' webbrowser, it should play while downloading. The zip files are intended for download and manual transfer to your Nexus so you can view them any time.
I'll be updating this thread with new trailers whenever I have a chance.
Google > Nexus One HQ profile
Screensize 800x480 (The settings in DVD Catalyst were based on leaked specs and have 848x480. This will be fixed in the next update)
Video Quality : 1000 Kbps
Audio Quality: 160 Kbps
Blackbar removal left at default "Remove from file", so not all movies play full-screen. For information on what the different methods are, please refer to the Android section on the website, or have a look at the thread on droidforums

It wouldn't surprise me if the hardware really is 848x480, but the extra 48 is the area with the buttons on it (so it can be touch sensitive).
New trailers. This time I figured I pick the top 10 on Apple's Trailer website ( Apple - Movie Trailers ), and make things look a little bit more fancy. Because I wanted to add an article on my site in regards of multi-device conversions, I converted each trailer to 4 different devices.
The trailers are done with the new 3.85 version of DVD Catalyst 3 (click on the cat-eyes in the program to update)
I used the default (non-HQ) profiles this time, and used the default "Remove black bars from file" black bar removal settings.
For details on how to make video full screen, and how it affects the video itself, have a look at this post

# 4. The Tooth Fairy
Dwayne Johnson is “The Tooth Fairy,” also known as Derek Thompson, a hard-charging minor league hockey player whose nickname comes from his habit of separating opposing players from their bicuspids. # 10. It’s Complicated
Writer/director Nancy Meyers (What Women Want, Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday) directs Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin in It’s Complicated, a comedy about love, divorce and everything in between. Jane (Streep) is the mother of three grown kids, owns a thriving Santa Barbara bakery/restaurant and has—after a decade of divorce—an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake (Baldwin). But when Jane and Jake find themselves out of town for their son’s college graduation, things start to get complicated. An innocent meal together turns into the unimaginable—an affair. With Jake remarried to the much younger Agness (Lake Bell), Jane is now, of all things, the other woman. Caught in the middle of their renewed romance is Adam (Martin), an architect hired to remodel Jane’s kitchen. Healing from a divorce of his own, Adam starts to fall for Jane, but soon realizes he’s become part of a love triangle. Should Jane and Jake move on with their lives, or is love truly lovelier the second time around? It’s…complicated.

I just wanted to say, these posts sold me on your software. I am converting Band of Brothers now to see how well it works.
