I'm have ing the same problem Error: cannot load recovery-RA-v1.7.0-cyan.img ive tried it on 2 machines. No idea what to do?
I've created a pdf of full instructions, including screen captures. You can download it here:

That should be pretty clear...
kc.rkitek you have been a HUGE help! I really appreciate you taking the time to help me with the driver issue.
Those with Windows 7, DO NOT NAME YOUR RECOVERY WITH ".img" Leave that off as Win 7 adds it for you and if you add it you will get .img.img and get an error message.

No problem...glad to help! It never occurred to me to ask if you had "Hide extensions for known file types" disabled; this is one of the very first things I do on a fresh windows installation!
If I may, I'd like to clarify one thing...Windows7 (or any other for that matter) doesn't add the extension for you, it was always there. Windows, by default, hides the extension unless you disable it in folder options. Exposing the file extensions is handy for lots of other reasons, so I'd wholly recommend it.
Here's a link explaining where to make that change for Win7 users:
Folder Options - Open - Windows 7 Forums
Oh well, glad it's all sorted out for you...I suppose by now you have a fully rooted N1 with all the goodies, right?!? Enjoy!
I just can't get my recovery to work! :suicide:
