    Is SetCPU worth it for battery savings

    A lot of the reviews I've read in the Market are "OMG... my phone is so fast now!!". My guess is they're mostly overclocked Droid users.

    How is it for extending battery life? Does it really help?

    yeah, it does with the profiles settings..

    u can set it to downclock the cpu to the minimum when it is on sleep/standby and it saves a lot of battery... and if u add an undervolt kernel with or without AVS it helps a lot...

    im testing it with normal use, avs/svs kernel and setcpu, 2g and sometimes 3g/wifi when i need faster connection..

    avs = Auto volting system*

    svs = static volting system*

    *i think

    there is a screenshot of my battery usage w/o the avs kernel showing that ive used the phone for like 19 hrs and the battery was on 50% :P

    Someone posted a vid of the guy at droiddog or whatever getting similar results.
    Running 1.13g under certain circumstances, but down to 3xxmhz when the screen times out etc... Showed him have about 40% after 13hours of phone use.

    I've just started using it with a fairly mild tuning and I'm seeing significant battery live gains with no noticeable performance difference.

    My battery life has almost tripled! Performance is the same, so no ill effects there.

    A nice, simple mod. I like it!
