    MoDaCo Desire Rom

I rooted my NEXUS one to the MoDaCo Desire Rom. It kicks ass. I had a HD2 for a few weeks and loved the layout of it and the interface. This was a great way to get what I loved about the HD2 on my Nexus without the bugs of the HD2! I Highly recommend it.

Anyone have an concerns with this ROM or any that cooler? I added the Cyanogen Rom last night and didn't like the fact it kept it feeling like the stock droid. So I added the MoDaCo Desire Rom when I got home today!

    LUVS IT!

Ehh I tried Desire ROM for a day. I love the widgets. Thats the one thing that pulled me to Sense UI in the first place. But than the ROM was just laggy, it would lag just scrolling through conversations in the stock messaging app. The widgets lagged too. Lock screen was really awsome since it showed music app running. God so many pros and cons in the end I decided to just give it up, really hate that lag.

Yeah same here, wasn't really about lag because I didn't get much lag. But I had problems sending MMS and Handcent didn't really work to well. I really like Sense though as I've pointed out in many threads before. It just wasn't as stable as I wanted it to be, also when it was on low battery the little LED indicator on the top right corner would stay light orange. Another issue I had with the Desire ROM was that when trying to visit a YouTube link off of Facebook on the browser, it would automatically open it on Flash Lite. Also my Handcent would Force Close, and a few other apps would Force Close.

I have not had any problems with lag. I use GV so I have no use for Handcent.

For some reason Google Voice won't work right when I installed Desire ROM.

Are any of your soft key(home, back, search) menus lit up? One of the reasons I reverted back to cm rom due to lights not working when pressed. I really don't know what's causing it. If this gets fix, I'd like to go back to sense UI. I love that rom. I think that's how it should be on N1.

After a few minutes of searching I found the fix and it works great!

For those of you who have the same issue with google voice (not getting calls made), here's what you need to do.

    1. Uninstall Google Voice 0.3 (the one from the market)
    2. Go to http://goo.gl/MN4T and download the older Google Voice 0.2
    3. Install Google Voice 0.2 and configure

My soft keys lit up when I had the Desire ROM installed on my phone. So that wasn't really an issue.

I like the features of the new GV. Wonder if an update is coming. I tried the theme and it lagged up big time for me.
