Unfortunately, I'd do a factory reset, and await the OTA...if your unit got the OTA, it should be quick as you are already in the queue...use checkin service to get it asap.

Try a manual update to the first Froyo release, so ERE27 to FRF50. You can get it here Download Android 2.2 FRF50 (Froyo) Manual Update for Nexus One | Sizzled Core

Then do a *#*#CHECKIN#*#* from the dialer and see if you receive the next OTA update (FRF72) from Google.

    FYI...
The only thing that should cause a failure is if you're rooted running a custom Recovery

You cannot "unroot" it per se. Once the bootloader is unlocked, it's unlocked for good. The easiest thing to do is install a custom ROM on the phone if you want to update.

Look around on forum and over on Nexus One - xda-developers there are lots of custom ROM's out there. Some are very minimal (basically a stock ROM) while others are fully themed with a lot of goodies thrown in.

So you're definitely not stuck... you've got lots of options!

ok i tryed to use a few roms but the same things happen.

i tryed changing the file to, (update, update. , and update.zip and didnt change it) and still nothing.

all the vids i see look different to my phone

when i get to the recovery screen, all the people have green writing and loads of options but i have blue writing and only 4 options.

i dont really understand why or how they are different.

What is your current build number?

    edit: is it still ERE27?
