what about the other files in the zip file i dont need them?
This is a discussion on 720p Video Recording Finally Possible on CM6 within the Nexus One Development & Hacking forums, part of the Nexus One category; what about the other files in the zip file i dont need them?...
I believe you can just flash the radio via recovery. On XDA individuals have flashed just the radio.img. If you can and know how to flash via fastboot, then do it that way.
Before you flash, back everything up. Also, post speeds before and after the update.
I also happen to be using the microSD that came with the N1(i think it's speed class2), I read somewhere class 4 or 6 work a lot better for HDvideo recordings, either way I need an SD with more space, so I'll get one with a higher speed class and see if it helps.
BTW, is there anyway for us to have FM radio to listen to on our N1s?
I flashed WildMonks Kernel because I get better FPS and can OverClock past the 1113MHz limit that comes with CM6 RC3.
There is a thread over at XDA that mentions the HD video and SDcards. Some believe that the higher the class, the better the HD video. That may not be the case. With the higher class SDcards, it should help with the problems some users are having with audio syncing. The audio sometimes doesn't sync right with the video and a higher class SDcard can possibly fix that issue.
IMHO, Flash WildMonks Kernel. If you're afraid that you might accidentally OC to the max of 1257MHz and damage your processor, then flash WildMonks 1190MHz Kernel.
So the main reason for flashing a new kernel over the stock CM6 would be better FPS and more ability to over clock.
Is it done similar to the steps I followed to use CM6?
It's really simple.
Copy the kernal to your sdcard. I put it in a folder called Kernals.
Open Rom Manager and select boot into recovery.
Once it's in Clockwork recovery, select an option like ".zip file from SD card" not the update.zip.
Then choose your file. You'll get and option like
select yes. Then reboot. I think you have to press the power button to go to the next screen. Then press reboot with your trackball.
Come here little sheep; I have a nice juicy apple for you!
Nexus One: Locked and Rooted
I am a bit confused. (Again)
I have just installed CM6- RC3- with the Kernel that came with it.
Kernel 2.634.4 Cyanogenmod - Shade@toxygene#1
I don't see 720 setting. It is just there.
It just says High -30m. Low 30min, MMS Low 30, Youtube high 15m, Custom.
Where do I find 720P.
What is cam 720?
Dam I feel like the dumbest person here,
I included instructions on how to flash a custom Kernel: http://www.nexusoneforum.net/forum/n...html#post69498
