Lol...I had the same problem. You have to reboot to see the changes.

    Syntax323,

Are you on the basic rc2, no nightlies. These are unstable mods and will have different errors for different people. Sometimes it takes awhile for my notification bar colors to take effect. Also, after you get a call, you will see a dialer option in the trackball notifications. That is added to the other choices.

I recommend the nightlies, more stable, and they have 720p video. And, if you have the paid CW Mod Recovery, they are listed there.

    Otherwise: Index of /cm/nightly/

and dl to pc and copy to sd, rename "update" no quotes. Then flash from CW or by rebooting into recovery by holding down vol- and pwr at same time for several seconds.

Why would they be more stable? What other features are added.

I figured out how to do the notification bar color now. I didn't know you had to click on the middle of the color wheel to apply the color.

Clicking on the color wheel would help.

With each nightly they are ironing out problems. These are works in progress, have no changelog, and will soon see an RC3, followed by a stable CM6, Currently CM5.0.8? is the latest stable mod but based on 2.1. This is cyan's first attempt at a stable rom based on 2.2.

Sometimes a fixed problem may creep back in as they fix a different one. Foreclosures can be common and reboots. Some people have little if no problems, even with base rc2. I had adobe flash and bookmark problems until recently. You can wait for rc3 or experiment with the nightlies. As mentioned 720p is a big addition.

Nightly Forum I follow closely: [Nightlies] Discussion of Nightlies - CyanogenMod Forum

I am doing pretty good after flashing 2 or 3 three of them and may now wait for rc3.

Modaco r21 is another stable mod I use also:

02/Jul r21 - MoDaCo Custom ROM for Nexus One with Online Kitchen - Froyo FRF91 - Android @ MoDaCo

He is working on a sense version for the N1. He may be on CW Mod on the paid version or the dl and xfer to sd steps apply. If you join you can bake your own roms.

    Read thru this forum:

22/Jul Alpha r23 dev WIP refresh - MoDaCo Custom ROM Desire Port Online Kitchen (Froyo FRF91) - Android @ MoDaCo

Paul is working on it and you need to be a member to download from kitchen. He is currently working on desire one and will get the n1 out after. Not a daily rom, no bluetooth etc. This is the only one I know of at this time.
