When I installed the cm6 rom, I was prompted to back up the stock rom which I did (but wasn't able to name it). I saw it going through the back up in recovery mode, but now when I browse to clockwork and then to back ups it doesn't show any rom there. Did my old rom back up or not? If so where? If not, how would I ever get back to stock froyo?

    thanks

It should be under the Manage and Restore Backups option as todays date.

    Hello everyone!

    I just finished installing Cyanogen

I would like to give a big thanks to jdallac on page 2 for the quick and simple tutorial! It worked with no probs at all for me (I was on stock FRF91).

For anyone willing to take the plunge, I suggest you actually READ ALL of the 23 pages. I was able to find answers to questions I was going to ask.

Thanks again to all of the people on this thread now I have alot more to play with!!

That's what it is all about, READING and not just jumping in.

There has been an update to the app. It now has two more options and a widget! The androidappjudge.com story has been updated with an updated link.

question regarding one click root for nexus one

I am very new to this so forgive the simple questions:

    1. If I use one click root do I need to get a custom rom or can I go about using my phone the way it is except being rooted?

    2. If I just root the phone and don't have a custom rom can I put all my applications to the sd card?

    3. Is there a program or application I will need once rooted to put my applications to the sd card?

    4. If I root will I lose any of the functionality of my phone?

    5. Do I have to back up my data before one click root or is that only when I am ready to do custom rom?

    6. Is there a benefit to rooting my phone without wanting a custom rom?

    7. What is the best link for custom rom's and what is the best custom rom? For nexus one running on FRF91 what cyanogen custom rom should I choose? Is it difficult to put a custom rom in?

    8. If I do go to custom rom can I still unroot my phone and have the android 2.2 and is it hard to do?
