ok so i was on 5.0.5.3 and i'm trying to upgrade to cm6 rc3.
i wiped everything and tried to flash on the new korean 5.08 radio and the regular 4.06 radio. everytime i try to do it, i think it freezes.
it goes to the android guy outside the box and then back to recovery and says "Formatting CACHE" on the bottom. it stays there and doesn't move! i think it freezes up on that part.
what can i do? i really want to go to rc3, but i need a new radio

I noticed that too when I flashed my radio. Believe or not, when you think you're stock on that message, hit the power button(if I remember correctly, you should see options) and the device will reboot and will continue to flash the radio. You should see an "android logo outside the box" with a green arrow. That's how I know it continued to install cause it shows the process progressions.

Correct, ignore the formatting cache. Not sure what it is doing. But I proceed on.

Not sure about that stuff on your pic.
If you have trouble fixing here, below is another good forum that has helped me and others from this forum.

yeah, i already asked on xda.
that picture shows that the new radio apparently did get flashed? even though the flashing process went very awkward...... but i'm still on the old rom and what not. my phone is still working fine...
should i go ahead and flash cm6 rc3 now?

Suby, I would flash RC3. There is really no reason not to. RC3 finally packs 720p and is very stable.
Keep the 4. version radio. Speeds are great and I see no reason to really update the radio, even if speeds are a bit better. It's tempting but flash RC3 and you will be pleased with your speeds.

Are you running CM6 RC3 stock Kernel? If so,you should shoot a video in 720p and let us know the FPS that you shot it in. You can just right click the video and click Properties and find out.
BTW, the 720p is purrrrttyyy
