i believe this might help thanks but the big question is will the original shipping recovery image work with froyo 2.2? cuz i cant seem to find one for froyo.
This link has further links to the various android builds including frf91

I think Slim's link is the only way. If you just wanted to delete CWM and keep another recovery like Amon, you can do it thru Android SDK and ADB Commands like erase recovery recovery.img and reflash recovery recovery.img. May not be exact syntax. Then CWM would be gone and then just uninstall RM.
If i am wrong, someone educate me.

just tried slim's way and it says remote not allowed i read up on that and its because i have a locked bootloader. any other ideas guys? thanks for the help so far.
Well, I guess that answers one question I saw somewhwere. You can't use ADB with a locked bootloader. Another reason to root with Android SDK/ADB.

i just 1 click rooted my phone and im getting adb but my command is not going through
adb shell
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
it keeps saying not found and the sd card is mounted so i dont see what the problem is.
Where are you typing these commands? If from the Command Shell on your PC, you need Android SDK installed.
