I was hesitant to root when it involved unlocking the boot loader and voiding the warranty. But, now, there is no reason to not do it.

    Cool God & Google Know

    OK Guys,

I need to level with you again (in addition to my rather complex logic earlier), I will not root for two reasons -

    1) There should be SOME N1 Android purists on this forum like WERA and myself, to benchmark against

    2) I am not an engineer, nor claim to be, and though i LOVE you guys... i TRUST ONLY Google to keep "ME the Idiot" from bricking my most expensive personal possession.

So though I LOVE & DEEPLY RESPECT ALL of You "Yeah!" sayers - I'm keeping my FRF91 the way Google wants me to.

I think... nay I FEEL (a hunch), where you guys are coming from.

You ALL had iPhones with Cydia or Carrier locked BBs!

    Am i right?

I've NEVER had an iPhone- I have no concept of Carrier Locking...It just does not exist on this side of the world

I was using this Sony Ericsson - P990i

    prior to the N1

So THIS SuperPhone is a HUUUUUGE STEP UP as it is (60MB RAM to 512MB RAM (196 MB user definable) is just one instance)

plus how can you guys forget that the rest of the WORLD"S CRYING for FROYO!

And we are the only ones who have got it .... OFFICIALLY!!!

I'm still gonna bug you guys with my dumb-ass questions because i love you and this forum.

God Bless us ALL (CM/MoDaCo/FRF91/ALL OTHER ANDROIDS included)

    Peace Out

or as we say on this side

    Om Shanti

For the love of God and your Nexus One. Root it!!!
I wanted this quote on my THREAD too!!!

    Aseem.
It's all good. Let us know if you change your mind. I honestly believe you are NO idiot. You are a smart guy. I know all the features and power of a smartphone can be overwhelming.
Do you know what two phones I had before I got my N1?
    This

    and

So when I got my :nexusx: I felt like Jed Clampet (you may not get the referene).
But now, the more I screw with it, the more I understand it and enjoy it.
Anyways, whenever you're ready. We got your back!

    Respect your decision aseems,

The stock N1 2.2 is pretty darn good w/o rooting.
