    When you flash a new radio, does your phone data get wipe too?
    Meaning you have to reinstall all your apps?

    No it shouldn't do that.

    But its always a good Idea to do a Nandroid Backup before flashing.

    No it shouldn't do that.

    But its always a good Idea to do a Nandroid Backup before flashing.
    Thank you, will probably try it tonight.

    This is what I've gather.
    -Download the latest radio version 5.12.00.08
    -I have Rom Manager
    -Put it in root of SD card.
    -turn off phone and power on by holding down track ball and power button
    -select fastboot
    -select recovery
    -select flash ZIP from SD Card
    -chose the file and let it flash

    Yes that sounds about right.

    Just be sure Not to Pull the Battery while Flashing the Radio. This will Brick your Phone.

    Update went great not to say there was nervous moments.
    This is the first time doing anything like this with Android (beside 1 click root)LOL.

    Been reading everything I could for 2 weeks and finally took the plunge and did the radio upgrade. I'm still hesitance but at least a little more comfortable with flashing new ROM. Great forum and great members here.

    Noob question. Am I correct that the radio zips are the same whether you have the AT&T or T-Mobile versions of the Nexus? Now that I'm unlocked, rooted and running CM6.1.1, I'm thinking of flashing the radio to 5.12.00.08.

    The carrier shouldn't matter--follow baseball's guide above and the warnings of not pulling the battery

    NANDROID first and always have a recent sd card bu
