Gezza I read that clockwork works but there may be issues with HTC app downloading in spare parts which in that case you could download manually from the android spin ROM homepage post #3. Complete wipe because I came from another ROM. I always do a nandroid and titanium backup.

I installed using ClockworkMod and had no issues. I first did a nandroid backup, then a Titanium backup. I then downloaded the ROM to my phone and used ROM manager to "install from SD card". Initial install I did a clean wipe. I found I really didn't even have to restore as much as I did with CM after installing. Most things were there and a few I used Titanium to reinstall effortlessly. I did have to manually install the HTC Camera for 720p support as is mentioned if using Clockwork but it is easy. Again just "install from SD" with ROM manager and presto it works! I am another user who is happy with this ROM so far. It has almost as much custom options as CM6 but so far none of the glitches.

I also forgot to mention that I originally installed the Pre-Alpha before finally using the new release. I have the black notification bar which is AWESOME! The only minor glitch there as well was that the bar is black and all notifications were black in pre-alpha. Couldn't read them until I went into spare parts and changed the notification settings to a colour of #ffffffff (white) and now I have white letters on a black notification bar. This may have been pre-set in 2.12.3 but I had to do it manually in pre-alpha... again minor and I have not even bothered trying another ROM since using this one as it does everything I wanted.

    Hey Galloway,

Do you think you can list all the steps that you did?

    Did you partition to ext3?

    1. Nandroid.
    2. Titanium Back up
    3. Wipe
    4. Install rom.

Is that correct so far, not sure what you mean about the camera? Do you have to download another file if you use clockworkmod?

    Thanks,

    Gezza.

You got the steps right. In spare parts you can opt to switch the stock camera with the HTC camera. It is the form of a download some using clockwork had a small issue and some do not. Anyway the download to the camera among other "sense "modded apps are on the ROM page.

I didn't partition my sdcard but you could if you wanted.

I used ROM Manager to make my backup. You could Nandroid any way you are used to.
    Next Titanium backup.
Next I used ROM Manager to "install from SDcard" the rom I downloaded.
I selected the option to wipe data and clear cache.
lastly...enjoy! Restore any apps you need to from Titanium.

Under "spare parts" and "applications" then "HTC applications" there is several options, one of which being the HTC camera which will allow 720p video. If you can't select and install it from the normal way you may need to manually download it from post #2 of the thread from xda. It appears it is a minor glitch with using clockwork mod instead of among...again. minor.
