[APP]SuperOneClick v1.4 (Root, Enable Non-Market App, Get UNLOCK code) - xda-developers
Download the app, plug your mobile, press root, wait , DONE.
If you encounter any issue try:
Download the app, plug your mobile, turn off phone, press root, when you see "waiting for device" turn on your device, wait , DONE.
I thought FRG83 prevents you from doing the one click root?

2.2.1 fixes the "one click root" but this is "SuperOneClick".
It is based on another vulnerability (rageagainstthecage) which wasn't fixed by 2.2.1.

Can you give us a simple step by step?
I've done all the things and it fails to detect my phone
I have the rooting program download, I've ran it with the phone plugged in in debuggin mode and it will not detect. I've plugged and unplugged many times too.
Were we required to download the sdk and adb too? If we do, i think that might be the reason it doesn't work for me yet...
Thanks!

Galaxy Nexus? I like Nexus prime more. Even the code name "Maguro" seemed cooler.

Yes you do need to download those for this to work, and also verify that freenexus is unzipped into the right folder. Once you set up your computer and get the driver for your nexus one, the super one click will work correctly. Happy rooting!:nexusx:

I'll be home later to try this, in fact I think I found a nice tutorial for anyone interested:
First steps:
How to Root Android 2.2.1 (FRG83) on Google Nexus One? | Jaxov
Then run the rooting program here:
[APP]SuperOneClick v1.5 (Root, Unroot, Enable Non-Market App, Get UNLOCK code) - xda-developers
After we are rooted I believe its just a matter of downloading titanium back u (to back up), then rom manager (flash recovery and download/install custom roms)?
Excited all over again :D
