    Hey Guys,

I have Android Manager, which seems to be easy to use.

I have located the Networklocation APK File.

Just need to long press the File, then you 4 options, copy, paste, delete, rename.

So I think I have found a way to rename the current file and then install the new file.

But I need to have my phone working as it's a work phone.

So I will have to try latter to day if it doesn't work.

    Android Manager will work too

Have you done copy/paste in system files before?

I would, when you have time still reformat everything and try 1.5 again, it worked fine for me, but I always do full wipes sometimes twice before flashing.

You can always do the network fix if you still need to.

If 1.3 works, no need to mess with it.

On Android Manager you will have to open it and tap on file explorer/system/system then tap on app and swiping the menu key should give you "paste"

    Hey Ken,

Weird part was I was using 1.5 Final Fix, with no problems.

Then Google Weather Widget, stop working.

I then updated to Pershots latest Kernel, that's were it all feel apart.

    Then everything stopped working.

So back on 1.3 ff at the moment, everything just works better and faster.

So may as well wait for the next update.

If I have anymore troubles, I think I know how to fix it.

    Thanks,

    Gezza.

    Yea gezza,

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Most of these versions now are only minor changes for people with problems.

Don't remember if you ever tried Micro 2.5. That's what I am on now and like it.

    Good Luck,

I was so close to putting that on yesterday,

But was freaking out as I had no signal, so I thought It was better to restore.

Funny thing is that on one of my many restores, I rebooted back to where it says thouch the Android to proceed. Even that wouldn't work.

So I was pretty stressed over this,

I may change to MM2.5 latter on the weekend.

But Miui seems the happening ROM, seems to be new updates every week or so.

    Just saw the 10.29 update.

From what i read, they are soon tapped out. Even when the next big MIUI change comes, i think they already have most of it incorporated into 1.5.
    Not 100% sure though.

But is fun, and sometimes stressful, trying these roms out.

MicroMod has some nice color changes and a circle battery.

    Hey Ken,

I have a hunch that most of the problems are coming from CWM, not restoring all the files correctly.

Because When I restored it from CWM the problem was still there, when I restored from Recovery Screen It worked.

So I think from now on, I will do a Nandroid Backup instead of CWM.

Yeah that was the problem, I just checked the Networklocation App, it is installed.
When I had all this trouble, I checked the file it was not installed.

So I guess I know sort of how to fix it.

    Gezza,

If you are talking about booting into recovery to do things, I agree. I have had problems with bu and restore thru the Rom Mgr screen. Thought about using amon 1.9 more.

Is anyone else experiencing a problem where the phone doesn't go into landscape view anymore? This and an occasional force close of the home screen are some bugs I've been having.

I've been super busy with work the past two weeks and been on this ROM stable for the whole time. I use it because it has the best battery life. I miss the Sense ROM stuff, but MIUI is just too good to switch for the photo widget.

I figured out the volume issue with this rom (for me at least) and it didn't require flashing a kernel. I'm still using Rod MIUI 1.1 and ran into the audio problem. Turns out, after I uninstalled "Audio Manager" from the Market and reboot, the problem is fixed. There must be some kind of conflict where Audio Manager shows that notifications and ring is turned up to max but is actually turned all the way down.

Hopefully work will settle down here shortly and I can play around with flashing CM6.1!
