    Hey Guys,

    Great looking Rom.

I had from 1.1 to 1.7.2. Now gone to Stock 11.12 and English Pack #3.

But Rod seems to be slow off the blocks.

I know he adds a lot more and tweaks and now transitions.

The new Miui 11.17 update is dew for release this Friday.

I guess I wait to see what they add.

Miui is fast becoming the Rom of all Roms.

    Gezza.

I know its everyone to their own but I just installed Rod's latest and I can say without a doubt that there is nothing slow about this rom. I use both the stock miui and Rod's and I can say with all honesty that I cannot see the difference in speed. In fact my own benchmarks score about the same with both roms (mid 1700's with quadrant standard).

Both Rod and the stock MIUI team have accomplished a lot with this rom. Its amazing. I am not loyal to one or the other like some folks that fight with each over at XDA. I just love the fact that I now have a great selection of two solid miui roms.

All new menus are even more iPhone like, intuitive, nice looking. Still hate the square icons. This ROM is fast, MIUI blows away CM6.1 in terms of me being able to wake up my phone and check a GV txt message. I fully wiped ROD's MIUI 1.1 and restored apps only via TB. Loving this so far.
    Hey Nick,

Welcome back bro. Havent seen you for a bit. I know work.

    Hey DR,

When I said slow, I meant the release date.

Miui 11.12 was out Friday and Rod just posted his update yesterday.

I know he adds a lot of good things and interesting stuff.

But when your waiting for the next update, it's hard to wait.

    Thanks,

    Gezza.

Oh. My bad Gezza. What you say is true. Only downfall to Rod's rom IMO. But I am a very patient man.....errr well sort of.

Added video to OP that I found of "transitions" effect that is added in 1.8.1 Now this video isn't MIUI, but the transitions are the same.
Wow, reminds me of when I first saw Compiz Fusion running in Fedora Core. I'm sure that some enterprising soul could mock up the "burning window" transition straight off Ubuntu source code or maybe "genie minimize/maximize"! The included transition effects are so slick, but wish I knew how to alter some settings. ...like always use flip, or how many times to show each in random.

    Video I found on Youtube:

    Sup DG?

I was able to just run with RoD's 1.1 MIUI rom the whole time. 1.1 worked so sweet, I didn't have to think of my phone. I flashed CM6.1 nightlies a couple times, but would just flash back a nAndroid during work the next day because I would keep locking up. Turns out, my power button was sticking down. Bunk hardware. Finally got to the point the only way I could turn on the phone was trackball wake and could never turn off. Had to trade in for a warranty replacement unit. New N1 has a Korean radio 5.08. I rooted FRG83 one click, was a little disappointed I had to use a Win7 machine to do it, but it didn't require adb. I'm interested in where Android is going with these transition effects. Of course, I don't mind waiting, I must be old and slow

Please don't quote and try to interpret what I said.

And there was no Whining just the facts.

If you read all my posts properly, I have had Rod's Miui V1.1 to 1.7.2.

It was not a dig at Rod at all, I am just impatient to see and try the new Miui Updates as soon as they are available.

I also said that Rod adds a lot of great stuff to his Rom, like the Transition stuff.

    Please get your facts right,

I do love Rod's work and it is appreciated.
