QUOTE=mrandroid;9228782 There are apps that the Dev chose to include in the /system/app directory which can't be updated like Astrid, Flash and Facebook. In order to update those apps, you need to remove the APK first from the phone, then download and install and install the new update...
Easiest way is with ADB - Just open a command prompt window, type
Code:
Adb Remount
adb shell
cd /system/app
rm Facebook.apk (or w/e app you're removing)
*** If it said it can't then do this:***
mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
***then***
rm Facebook.apk (or w/e app you're removing)
reboot
then go into the market and reinstall the apps you wanted.
My recommendation to Dev is to not include those apps in the Rom. That way we can just download what's needed from market and be able to update them as updates are available.

Additional Notes
According to XDA OP, you need to "double wipe" before install. I did not, but if enough people are having problems, I can write up using recovery and manually wiping Data, Cache, sd-ext, and Dalvik.
Quick Settings in notification bar... What does APN and CPU do? I have read conflicting reports that CPU overclocks or underclocks. Personally, I got a better Quadrant score (1400 vs 1555) when turning ON CPU. Lowers CPU frequnecy to 245min 245 max while screen is off.
I do not use MIUI Launcher. I use Launcher Pro which is included with this ROM. Battery life is great! Quadrant scores are good without overclock. Personally, I can't stand the default icons all over the MIUI launcher and figure that is what the app drawer was designed for. 3d app drawer does not currently work but the regular LP app drawer is fast, scrolls through my 80 some user apps SMOOTH, and bounces / stretch at the beginning / end (like Sense). I am currently trying to find a way to change the lockscreen app defaults to use Google Voice instead of Messaging. I hear Handcent will default after installation. Also, there is a way to intercept Messaging on launch and redirect to GV using Tasker. Facebook account sync does not work. SyncMyPics is default installed to try and get some of this functionality back.
