    1.8.0.1 is out now too:

just repeat the process and you'll be fine

Quickboot from the market takes you straight into recovery.

Here we go again? I am having the same issue as before, but on a different sd card. I flashed amonRa, but could not boot into recovery. I reflashed and was able to boot into recovery. I removed the card and placed it into my pc to make sure the nandroid file and the recovery ROM were on there and they were. Reinstalled card and when attempting to boot into recovery I keep getting the android/exclamation guy. Subsequent reflashes have yet to fix the issue.

Do you have a good sdcard backup?

If so, you can get sdformatter from web and use it to format sdcard then restore your card from a good backup. It resets card to factory state. Helped me.

Then use Rom Manager with Clockwork to see if it's recovery works before proceeding.

You would have to repartition with CWMod also

    Back up sdcard regulary

You'll need a card reader. But, I think you said you can plug it into pc already

I am hoping to do this using amonRA, not CWmod. I successfully flashed a recovery, restarted the phone and when I use the 3 finger salute to get it started I am given the choices Fastboot, recovery, clear storage and simlock. Choosing recovery simply attempts restart and winds up with the android/exclamation point. I am totally baffled.

You can flash amon_ra anytime, just wanted to get you up and running with an easy recovery.

You are doing something wrong and formatting and starting over with sdcard may help.

The correct command thru Terminal for Amon_ra 2.0.0 the Cyanogen version (CM) from Amon_ra thread:

    su

    flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-nexus-v2.0.0-CM.img

    then reboot

OK. I reformatted the card again and easily flashed amonRA 2.0. I made a backup and wiped data and dalvik-cache. I went to restore and the backup was there. I rebooted the phone and when I entered into the bootloader and hit recovery--I still get the android/exclamation point. I have to believe that I am simply missing a step trying to enter recovery and can't see the forest for the trees.

    Check out Amon's Forum: [Recovery] [14-Nov-2010] RA-nexus-v2.0.0 - xda-developers

Many people had issues flashing 2.0.0 thru Terminal and had to use Fastboot

"That is because you still have a stock recovery. You need to flash a custom recovery and make sure you delete or rename these two files (/system/etc/install-recovery.sh and /system/recovery-from-boot.p) before you reboot your device, otherwise, your custom recovery image will get over-written by the stock recovery after every reboot."

I found this right under a recent post that you had in that forum, Ken. This might be my problem, but I am unsure as where to find these files(or if this is what I am doing wrong).
