going to flash cyanogen 6.0 on stock nexus one 2.2.1 will it work?
these is my first time flashing a rom and i have already rooted my device and i downloaded titanium back up and made a back up of my user and system data.
then i downloaded rom manger and flashed the latest recovery..
and now i am going to download the rom but i want to download 6.0 version not 6.1 as i have heard that you need to update the radio to 5.02 whereas my radio version is 4.06.00.12_7
and also cyanogen 6.0 is 2.2 and i am on 2.2.1 will it be okay??
just being cautious..
thanks in advance...

I would recommend updating the Radio.
Did you make a Nandroid backup?

It doesn't matter if you're 2.2.1 and CM 6 is 2.2
You're flashing a new ROM altogether, the phone don't know
any difference.
CM6 is nice but CM6.1 give you a few extra features that pretty cool.
Also don't forget the GAPPS (Google apps)

Well maybe you would but if it is his first time flashing maybe he wants to start with something that he has a margin of error cause, correct me if I am wrong but isn`t flashing a radio the easiest way to brick your phone?
So I too, in his position would start with a ROM not a radio.

Its as simple as flashing a zip to update the Radio. You will be fine unless you for some reason decided to pull the battery while flashing.

well i flashed the latest clockworkmod recovery using rom manager and then i downloaded the cyanogen 6.0 stable release rom with the google apps.
then i tries to flash the cyanogen rom by wiping data and making a back up of the existing rom, but after the back up had been made, when it started to extract the cyanogen rom file it said "mirror error" installation aborted and it also said to report this issue in the rom manager. i tried flashing acouple of times and everytime i would get the same error.so i gave up and i am on my stock rom..any help would be much appreciated.
more info on my phone:
rooted using superoneclick root
radio version 4.06.00.12_7
froyo2.2.1 frf83D the latest version..

I understand that but you never know, if it’s your first time flashing you are not familiar with all the options in the recovery (or ROM manager) so you want to get comfortable flashing things so maybe you would rather start with a ROM but to each his own, I guess it’s up to husnain17 to decide what he wants to do.

If you plan on recovery flashing a radio, make sure you md5 check on your card. I can't stress how important this is!
