Yeah I updated to CM6.1.1 last night. Battery seems a little better but I'll go a few days with it before I can tell.

Well, after using 6.1.1 for a while I can say that it has the same battery problems that started with 6.1 RC2 (this problem did NOT exist in RC1).

The "Android OS" appears to be using a lot of battery. This did not happen with RC1.

    See attachment.

Holy crap that is allot! I have never seen the os that much higher than that display. I hope this issue isn't apparent in cm7.

I really appreciate the work that the cyanogenmod folks are doing, but this is a major issue for me. I'll probably have to go back to RC1 and hope this gets fixed in CM7 (or maybe 6.1.2).

Have you tried the latest Wildmonk kernels? The Dec 17th released.
I didn't have the Android OS problems but a few say it helped.

With semi heavy used today since unplugging at 9am today, I'm only showing 5% Android OS
    and battery still at 70%

No, I've never ventured into other kernels. I've always used whatever came with cyanogenmod.

No, I've been sticking with cyanogen. Up until RC2 the battery life has been great. I'm really a bit shocked that they've introduced such an obvious problem and not addressed it in RC2, 6.1 or 6.1.1.

I sure hope that they get it fixed soon.
