    Yup - you got it.
You can test adb next ("adb devices"), but you may need to boot into the full OS, or boot into recovery. You will also need to have USB debugging enabled on the phone (in Android settings).

Once you have fastboot working, you can fastboot oem unlock your phone.
Once you have adb working, you can root with superoneclick.
    The choice is yours...

superoneclick will let you keep your stock ROM, but also have root access.

fastboot oem unlock doesn't actually root your phone - it just makes it much easier.
To root, you will need to install a custom recovery ("fastboot flash recovery <filename>"), and then install a rooted ROM (just pick a zip file from your custom recovery).

I'm gonna call it a night, and let you think about what you wanna do...

Ok well I booted the full os and ran the adb devices comand and I think it worked it just said that it turned on "daemon" so I don't know if that is it as for superoneclick or oem unlock last night I would have said oem unlock but now that I slept on it I don't know any more I know that when you unlock the bootloader you have more options of fastboot and you said that since you unlocked the bootloader everything was running more smoothly but you lose your data and like I said warranty is nowhere in sight so I don't know any more. What do you think I should do maybe superoneclick and then backup with titanium then unlock the bootloader?

Superoneclick - it's a bit trickier, but I can walk you through it..

One question though how is a oneclick method more complicated than unlocking the bootloader I understand that unlocking the bootloader is just one command but installing a software and running it then clicking root is not that complicated is it?

No, it's only more complicated because there are more steps, but there isn't anything tricky...

Ok but what is the advantage of unlocking the bootloader. And disadvantage I already know loss of data and warranty, but the last one mine is already void so I don't care.

    +1 on that

But were you slightly implying that I am a noob and that I need allot of help(insert sarcastically mad smiley here) because I could have done this on my own just it would have taken allot longer.
