    Noob help first time root

    Hey guys

I was really bored waiting for gb, so I decided to root.
    Now it's 3am and I'm in a fix. I tried searching a bit couldn't find anything
    HELP PLEASE

I rooted using superoneclick 1.6.5 on my nexus one 2.2.2. Everything went fine, rooted. YAY! Or so I thought.
Superuser turned up in my app drawer (y)
Then I downloaded set cpu and rom manager.
When I tried using set cpu it gave me an error where it mentioned root access not detected. ftw. Also when I tried flashing the clockworkmod recovery, similar. No root permission error or something.

I need to go to bed, school tomorrow, gah
A reply would be appreciated from one of you great ones of the dark side.
Welcome a noob into your fold.

Try my manual guide. At least you will get some sort of feedback if something doesn't work (unlike the click and cross your fingers approach).

Sounds like you may not have actually succeeded at rooting (difficult to tell, but the fact that some apps are saying you're not rooted points that way).

I would try re rooting. Pick your own method, but I find the one click approch doesn't really give you any feedback, which kinda leaves you guessing...
