    Overclocking without cyanogen?

    hey guys

I just rooted today, and flashed the gingerpassion gb rom, and I'm in love. (Quadrant score was a little low though)
I was doing my research on oc'ing and all I could find was for the cyanogen mod(s?). I might just flash that next, but do any of you have a guide of some sort for us noobs who are new to the world of rooting? Any links or any sort of information would be appreciated.

You'll have to find a kernel that has over clock capability.

    Y'think? :P
Haha, jk, yeah I figured that, but the only kernels I could find required cm(?)

Oh, and I'm new to rooting and all, so I have no idea how to flash a kernel. All the kernel flashing guides I could find were for cm.

Perhaps more research is required. lol JK

There are many kernels for the N1. Xda is your best bet to find them. Kernels are flashed in recovery just like a Rom. Its good to Clear the Cache and Dalvik Cache too after flashing a kernel.
