    updating radio on Gb rom, need advice.

    i am on stock rooted Gingerbread rom. But my radio isnt updated it is still 4.06 i want to update it to 5.08 so is it possible to update my radio using ra recovery and this link:

    While i am on Gb rom, because the above radio is for the the froyo rom i guess..

    Yes you can flash that radio through recovery.

    Be really careful flashing the radio. Its the one way to truly brick your phone. I know this from experience. I bricked the cell phone radio but Wifi works! :-)

    I'm still on the old 4.06 radio on my AT&T Nexus. What advantages would I have by updating it to the newer version?

    Personally, I wouldn't bother updating the radio unless there is a specific issue you are trying to fix...

    Well I ended up doing it. Haven't noticed much on reception or anything. But I did some speed tests and it was a little faster. So not really sure if it was worth the couple minute hassle to get it installed.
