    Problems after rooting

I rooted Nexus One 2.3.4 BUT,
The following Apps are still on the internal memory and won;t move to SD card:

    adobe flash player 10.3 11.96mb
    maps 11.23mb
    double twist 9.79mb
    g+ 8.46mb
    handsent sms 5.73mb
    facebook 5.66mb
    twitter 4.72mb
    goggles 4.24mb
    market 3.59mb
    docs 2.75mb
    google buzz 1.05mb

Internal memory shows as 20mb+ after rooting.
Is there a way to move these and get more internal memory?

Of course, in the rooting process, I also lost:
    -You Tube
    - Books
    -Amazon

    and some others.

They are showing as being there but will not execute. Can find any way to delete these manually either. STUCK...

Finally I'm a little dumb when it comes to smart phones...don't understand most of the terminology.
So please offer help like "...for Idiots"

ND1Razor: How to: Root Android 2.3.4 (Nexus One)

just flash the latest cyanogen RC to get to 2.3.4

I've got a stock N1 running 2.3.4 and I want to root so I can get VOIP to work with google talk.
I'm looking at this link you've given and it says that it roots without unlocking the bootloader.
What do this mean and do I care? Any advantages? My warranty is long expired so I don't care about that.

    THanks..

Unlock your bootloader, it's much easier. As far as you're concerned, the only side effect is an unlocked padlock icon while the phone is booting...

This article isn't complete, but it's a good start:

I'm going to start a new group: rooted but refuse to unlock the bootloader!

    :rofl3:

I'm trying to downgrade my N1 to 2.3.3. I downloaded the FRG33 file and renamed it passimg.zip.
I boot the phone holding the down volume button to go into the boot menu.
It finds and spends a few seconds loading the zip file. It gives me 4 options then
    Fastbook
    Recovery
    Clear Storage
    Simlock

If I choose recover the screen goes to a triangle with an exclamation point in it. Just sits there. Am I missing something?

When your phone sees the passimg file, it should ask if you want to apply it. Are you getting that far?

First thing I would suggest is download a file manager (I recommend estrong or ES, or whatever it's called these days). Take a look at the file on your SD, and make sure it is named PASSIMG.zip

If the file is named correctly, then click on it with estrongs and make sure you see a directory structure inside, and not another zip...

I downloaded the other file (the one that it said to use if you're getting an error - which I didn't get) and it worked. I have to say this is a nightmare. I wish I never started. I can't make out what I'm supposed to do next. I've unlocked it, but I am lost as to what's going on next. The how to root instructions on the link you gave me are not clear at all.
