You cant even shut it down?
    Try to soft reset it
Hold down the Power button, Volume down and trackball at the same time.
Let me know if it worked

No, it sure didn't. I'm now having G1 DangerSPL flashbacks. I think this is serious, I have the same post on XDA as well just to hedge my bets and so far, nothing.

Is the phone still stuck at this? Have you asked over at XDA? It is very possible you did brick the device.

Possibly the first Nexus paperweight? Thats why you have to be careful when voiding your warranty.

Pull the battery and do a hard reset?

    1. Turn the power off. If your Nexus One is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
    2. Hold the Volume Down button
    3. Press and release the Power button
    4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
    5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
    6. Press and release the Power button
    7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

The image below was in result of me switching between fastboot and hboot in the bootloader. maybe its the key?

and no the hard reset did not work.......and if I really do have the first bricked Nexus One then I want something notarized to the effect saying so.
