I 'm running a Windows 7 64 bit laptop, and I just could not get through the entire process without seeing the triangle with an exclamation point when trying to reboot into recovery mode using sdk and the adb commands. So I did a little research and found the superboot program. Superboot is a god send! It is basically a one step tool to rooting your Nexus.

So those of you running win7 64bit, google nexus superboot, once you have it and run the batch file your phone is instantly rooted! Forget all the adb this and that commands. Then install the rom and add ons of your choice.

I spent two and a half hours messing with sdk and adb commands! Once I had superboot, my phone was rooted and flashed cyanogens rom to it in 5 minutes tops. If the phone gets stuck on the default laoding screen after you flash your rom, just reboot to recovery, select wipe then reflash the rom and your good. Hope this helps folks running win7 64 bit.
Thank you SO much for this info. I too, have a Win7 64 bit laptop and I couldn't get past all the beginning steps to unlock my damn phone. I hope this superboot is really what you say it is.

Yes it is! I was able to unlock my bootloader using sdk/adb and even flash amon ra's recovery with sdk/adb. But every time I tried to reboot into recovery to run cyanogens rom the phone would give the error message(triangle). Superboot is so comprehensive it could even detect that I already unlocked the bootloader using adb/sdk. Try it, any question just ask. Good luck

Superboot is awesome. thats what i used and had my nexus rooted within a minute. its makes the process easier for beginners.

@Blackorean.. yes it is awsome. Really does make it easy for Android noobs. Thanks to all the super genius's like Cyanogen, Amon ra and others for making it possible.

Did you navigate your cmd into that folder as well? If so check your PC picks up your phones serial number.
