If you get no help from XDA successions mod thread, I would wait till TrackballColorNotify2 is best alpha stage and integrated into Cyanmod. Benefit is that you can change colors that are hardcoded into apps (note your pain in the butt green color) problem.

ADD: no that recovery mode was something I asked you to go into to see if adb was even working. You should be doing the adb remount in your normal home/lock screen. You did that right?

Well before I go just make sure .jar is not actually .zip (if you have file extensions hidden) and made sure when you push the file that it is in the correct directory. Best of luck. I'll be around so feel free to PM

Once you have your sdk setup (I have mine in c:\android\sdk\ and have c:\android\sdk\tools in my global path so I can call fastboot and adb from anywhere as I have a very particular sorting method for everything), and after you have backed up your phone (nandroid via the recovery mode)...

download the file and rename it to services.jar. Make sure that the .zip is removed at the end so the file is services.jar and NOT services.jar.zip

Connect your phone to your computer...

call adb to remount your filesystem so you can write to it.(from the tools folder in your sdk or if you have the tools folder in your path than from anywhere)...

    c:\android\sdk\tools\adb remount

Now you are going to have to be in the directory that your downloaded file lives. Let's say you downloaded it to c:\downloads and your sdk is where mine is..

    c:\android\tools\adb push c:\downloads\services.jar /system/framework
The above will call adb to push your new file to the correct location on your phone.

You will need to reboot for this to take...
    c:\android\tools\adb shell reboot

or simply hold the power button and select Reboot Phone

From the looks of it, it seems like you did each step right.

Try re-doing all the steps and re-pushing the services.jar file. Then reboot.

Not sure what else you could be doing wrong.

Do you have file extensions hidden on your computer? I am in the process of installing cyanmod on my phone and succession as I am curious. I will let you know the progress later if you are gone then tomorrow. Sorry about it not working out.
