I keep telling the mods this, that we HAVE a hack forum:

Nexus One Development & Hacking - Nexus One Forum - Google Phone Forum

    but alas, I'm ignored.
This thread has a funny history that belongs in this section though. All it was was NeonMonster making a thread telling people how he rooted his phone and was loving it, then a whole bunch of us jumped on the bandwagon lol . All of a sudden NeonMonster telling us he enjoyed rooting his phone turned into 96 pages. The benefit of it being in this section is many lurkers see it and sign up and register to this forum solely because of this thread, particularly when they run into a problem rooting it (still more members is good for this board though.)

Personally I feel this thread belongs in the discussion section.

LOL, not sure what page I took the plunge but I remember it wasn't too long after you 2. You 2 helped me a lot actually.

Sophia to answer your question, if you're already running Cyanogen and all that, I don't think you're missing out on anything by not having superboot. I'm not an expert though.

Superboot is a batch file created to assist people that have problems in flashing AmonRa's image. It flashes a boot image similar to how AmonRa created a Nandroid image that contains superuser permissions. It seems that once your phone possesses the superuser permission all other modifications after seems to stick better. Therefore no more exclamation android.

Edit: All it does is flash a boot image instead of a recovery image.
