This worked great for me! Thanks for posting this.
This is a discussion on HOW TO: Easy manual update to latest OTA Update within the Nexus One FAQ & How-To's forums, part of the Nexus One category; This worked great for me! Thanks for posting this....
im having problems with step 8 am i suppose to create the 'root of sd card' or is that suppose to be in there already..when i get to the apply sdcard:updatezip i get 'E:failed to open/sdcard/update.zip (No such file or directory)'
I am confused. What are you trying to do with this update?
You are hacking the OS for what? Won't this void the warranty of the phone?
Hi, i have a new nexus one (1 week old). I have no idea on how to update it.
I saw zip files to download so i downloaded some of them but didn't find any .exe application to launch the update. Do i have to unzip them to the memory card and lauch from there?
Help neeeded please
Are you sure you still have the old ROM? The quickest way to tell is see what version of Maps you have. If you have 4.0, you already have the update.
Take the file from the first post, rename it update.zip. Put it on the root directory of the sdcard.Follow steps from #9.

My Maps version is 3.3.1.
Which first post you mean to take the update file
I did it, it is perfectly updated.
Where can i find the latest update files, we are the 16th today and the update i did was for the 2nd February.
Many thanks for help Mr Fuse
That is the only update that has been officially released. There is another one that is half-baked (not official) you can read about here: http://www.nexusoneforum.net/forum/n...n1-leaked.html
This supposedly fixes a lot of the 3G issues seen, but it's built off an older ROM.
