Can I redownloaded my PURCHASED apps from my nexus one into a new android phone?

Downloaded apps are stored onto the nexus one memory. I want to know if google will allow me to redownload my purchased apps for free, since I already paid for it from my nexus one to a new android phone?

AFAIK, you can. But there are apps which comes with single device license (most of the GameLoft's games) which will not work.

Also as long as the app is still available and legal on that new phone.

Note that you are re-downloading the app to your new phone. So there are a few cases that might bite you.

Some apps are forward locked, which means they have to be updated before they will work on future phones. Some people are running into this issue on Froyo which is a future OS.

Some apps are blocked on certain carriers. For example, if you have Where installed on your T-Mobile phone and you switch to an AT&T phone, Where can not be found in the Market. This one is experience talking. So you have to find a non-Market version of Where.

Some apps might not be available in the Market any longer. I guess if you had downloaded some non-licensed versions of Tetris on your first phone and then tried to re-download them, you would find they had all been removed from the Market.

Might be other cases (developer got fed up with writing software and is now living in a cave in eastern Oregon), but those are the ones I could think of in a few minutes.

Seems like backing up your .APKs would be good insurance in these cases.
