    google advertising sucks!

Apple have gone ballistic with the ipad. It's as if they have some kind of subconscious link to humanity's yearning for technological wizardry. Google have to change the way they market the nexus1, they have had no radio or t.v advertising in England whatsoever. People still don't know it's out there and those that do don't know why it's such a great device.

    Salam,

The Froyo 2.2 build you're attempting to locate was a package released for Android developers, and is not considered by Google to be the final revision of the OTA update. While some people have reported success installing package, others have reported numerous performance issues with their phone once the update has been applied - including making phone calls and surfing the web. If you do manage to locate the unofficial build on the internet, applying it on your phone prematurely will NOT prevent you from successfully receiving the OTA update later, as the final version from Google will overwrite the beta release - but due to the fact that software build was never really intended to be installed as a software update, I will neither provide you with the build nor encourage you to install it on your own phone. I will suggest an ample amount of patience, as Google will release this update very soon.

I think all these 2.2 OTA threads should be deleted till the real one comes out. WHICH HAS NO DATE YET!

    I'm almost ready to agree.

Folks, it'll be out when Google releases it. No amount of whining, screaming, fist pounding, or moaning will move that date up.

So, lets keep this sort of thing out of our forum. It does no good at all.

    OK?

    wera689,

Thanks for the support. You would think with 5,000 posts on this subject, EVERYONE would know what the situation is.

I assume you mean without unlocking your bootloader? It appears so, but I've not tried it:

    xda-developers - Downgrading Froyo 2.2 to 2.1 Eclair

Froyo's running great for me (I had stock ERE27 before manual update, and haven't unlocked or rooted).
