Wow I just did a factory reset and I'm still receiving errors trying to update my phone to 2.2 Froyo. I tried both Universal update file (for any nexus one - gsm or aws) and Stock GSM Nexus Owners (AT&T/Rogers/Telus etc.) EPE54B to FRF85B with no luck I keep getting the signature files error message anyone else run into this problem? Build number is EPE54B Kernal is 184.108.40.206 running 2.1-update1. I'm also rooted if that helps
I give up I don't know what else to try I've gone back completely to stock ROM kernal, etc and I still can not update my Nexus to 2.2
I was on Paul's Pre-root FRF50 and I flashed [update-nexusone-FRF85-stock-noradio-signed.zip (70.5 MB)]http://www.multiupload.com/FURB182V4X (no radio because I was on stock radio that came with Paul's FRF50)
Flashed this afterward [update-nexusone-FRF85-root-signed]http://www.4shared.com/file/cFBy1ZS4/update-nexusone-FRF85-root-sig.html
Reboot. "pling" FRF85B with root access.
BTW, do a wipe before flash.
Goodluck man. Here is another link to look at. It helped me too. One of fellow forumer at LegendDroid.

My update worked fine. Improvement in brightness control, browser speed
but I find Flash painfully slow, especially on BBC site.
