Check the "Class" of the SD Card

if it's slow like a class 2 ... that may be a problem...

    but i'm just guessing...

The Nexus One comes with a class 2 card, so that's not likely the problem.

Also, I upgraded to a 16GB class 2 card and it works just fine.

Sounds like notoriousfob needs to do a factory reset.....

I had no problems after the OS upgrade (with the 16GB card in the device). I think that some peoples phone may have been in a slightly unstable state before the upgrade.

With a complex OS and tons of applications doing all kinds of things, it's possible to have a bad combination. For me the phone has been super stable (though I did have one lockup and reboot once with 2.1).

I don't think so... but it does support microSDHC (to get to 32GB)
