I have been patient, but, dialing the check in code daily with the hope of that magical icon on my bar...

David, is your phone failing you in some way without GB? Is there some vital feature in GB that you can't live without?

Hi Wera, You ask good questions. My phone is functioning perfectly, I can let it go for days without a reboot. I think it is just the "new" I am wanting here. Honestly, I don't even remember what Gingerbread is supposed to bring to our Nexus Ones. :rofl3:
I have a nephew (in another state) who has rooted his android (not a Nexus One) and he has offered to root mine and show me how (means a weekend trip, partying with family and friends) and I just might take him up on his offer after my warranty has expired - I don't know yet.

I always get a kick out of how old-school PC users (I'm 48 and did programming via punchcards in high school; moron-friendly hadn't yet been invented) are as vehemently disdainful of I-Devices as we always have been of All-That-Is-Evil (Oops, I mean Apple).

How does this compare to the CM7 Nightly's that are being released?
I've heard that some "GB" mods are just edited versions of Froyo.
The CM7 is actually being built from GB source code.

I currently have the MicroMod from the link above on my phone, and it works great, but I'm considering flashing CM7.

    Anyone with any insight? Thanks.
